PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 BABY, SWEET BABY OF MINE

When you were born I took a peak,
At ten little fingers and ten little toes.
Then I kissed your chubby cheek,
Baby, sweet baby of mine.

I held you close against my breast,
And watched in love as you suckled.
I gently laid you down to rest,
Baby, sweet baby of mine.

I cried with joy the day you crawled,
And cried with you when you fell,
And wiped your tears when you bawled,
Baby, sweet baby of mine.

All at once you were in school,
And I was left behind.
All of a sudden I wasn’t cool,
Baby, sweet baby of mine.

Now you’re grown and on your own,
But you will always be,
Forever, throughout eternity,
Baby, sweet baby of mine.
